PRODUCT ORIGINALITY BRIEF
Tea and Panda are China’s national treasuries, from the coincidence of the colors’ sameness on the giant pandas’ fur between the White tea and the Dark tea, using the traditional tea-compressing technique to compress the White tea and the Dark tea into a tea cake that resembles a giant panda’s face.
Our Pekoe Panda Face Tea has two types, Type A consists of Pekoe Silver Needle Tea & Ya’an Tibetan Tea; Type B consists of Big White Bud & Ya’an Tibetan Tea. Both types are in the same shape and same weight, they only vary in the white tea part. Both two types of the white teas are very good to health of long-term collection value, but their price varies depends on their place of origin, volume of output, way of process and etc. Check out their difference below.
Pekoe Silver Needle Tea
The white part on both sides is chosen from the Pekoe Silver Needle Tea which is of the highest quality of the White Tea. The pekoe silver needle tea has an extremely high content of polyphenols, amino acid and vitamins that perform well in resisting oxidation, nourishing skin, diminishing inflammation and preventing cancer. International luxury brand CHANEL extracts theanine and other active substances to produce its famous Solution 10 skin cream after many choices and tests. Chinese people praise it as good as rhinoceros horn (used to be a kind of precious medicine in China) for its vital effect in heat retreat and detoxification, so it is also regarded as a good remedy for measles patients. Therefore, there is a popular saying to the White Tea goes like this: “In the first year, it is just tea; in the third year, it smells aged-aroma; in the fifth year, it becomes medicine-like; in the seventh year, it turns into treasures.” The color of infusion is of light apricot yellow, clear and bright, and it tastes fresh and sweet with some pekoe flavor. The aged White Tea features some nice medicine-aroma, and its economic value is higher too.
Ya'an Tibetan Tea
The black parts (ears, eyes, nose and mouth) on both sides are compressed of Ya’an Tibetan Tea (South Route Border-Tea) which is the most time-honored Dark Tea with outstanding healthy efficacy. As a special tea exclusively sold to ethnic minorities around the border areas in western part of China, the Border-Tea was rarely known to Chinese in history. However, it is more and more consumed in modern times for its special healthy efficacy in improving digestion and lowering blood pressure, blood fat and blood glucose. Thousand years’ continuous daily drink on the Border-Tea by the Tibetan people bears witness that this tea can well supplement vitamins, promote digestion on high-fat food as well as lowering blood pressure, blood fat and blood glucose. So, Tibetan people have a saying that: “One feels uncomfortable without drinking tea for just one day, One feels sick without drinking tea for three days.” The Tibetan-Tea infusion is brightly red in color, tastes full bodied, sweet and aged in flavor. Like the White Tea, the longer it stores, the more expensive it becomes.
Big White Bud
The white part on both sides is chosen from the Big White Bud grown in Jinggu County of Pu’er area in Yun’nan Province. The tea bud is full of silver-like tips and looks strong; it smells natural and aromatic, and the aroma lingers; it tastes mellow with a sweat finish, and its infusion looks brightly clear. It has an extremely high content of polyphenols, amino acid and vitamins that perform well in resisting oxidation, nourishing skin and diminishing inflammation. Because of its beautiful shape and pleasant taste, it was once selected as royal tribute in Chinese history. Because the tea tree & processing technology are almost the same like the non-fermented Pu’er tea, this tea also boasts long storage and high collection value.
